Meet the Owner

Hello! My name is Chris, and I'm the owner and sole employee here at North Bay Assembly, LLC.

I grew up in the east bay, and moved up to beautiful Sonoma County in 2008. I worked for Trader Joe's for ten years, which was a great environment to learn some excellent customer service skills. I also have done various construction and carpentry gigs throughout my life, and have always been a natural handyman. Fixing things around the house, like a broken oven or gas fireplace, working on my own vehicles or friends vehicles, helping neighbors with a leaky roof or a broken fence, I've always enjoyed working with my hands and helping others.

About 5 years ago, I got a job with a company that had contracts with several large hardware stores; when you see all the barbecues, wheelbarrows, and other equipment lined up outside a hardware store, and all the patio furniture displays inside, that's my work! We also had a contract with Amazon, where we would do in-home assembly of items purchased through Amazon. I was the main employee covering all of Sonoma, Solano and Marin counties. If you had an Amazon item built for you in Sonoma County around 2022, it was likely me!

Unfortunately, Amazon ended this assembly option after about a year. Since then I've been mainly working back in store locations, building displays and customer requests.

But, I built some good relationships in the community during my in-home assembling time, and get a few folks that reach out from time to time requesting assembly work. I always found the work very satisfying, as it blended my past work experience together in one job, customer service, and working with my hands. (And I like puzzles and problem solving, which is essential in this line of work!)

I've always felt there is a growing need for professional assembly services in this day and age, and with various apps like Angie's, Handy, Thumbtack or TaskRabbit, you may get a handyman who has some experience at assemblying items, but you won't get a certified professional assembly technician like me.

So I decided it's time to create my own business and offer my services to my community, beautiful Sonoma County. If you have any assembly needs, I'm here to help. I'm a registered LLC, with all the required permits and insurance to bring you peace of mind, and get your items built correctly so you can start enjoying them.
